HORN LAKE, Miss.** — A deadly shooting at a restaurant in Horn Lake, Mississippi, claimed the life of 24-year-old Justin Conrad on Sunday evening, October 11, 2026. His twin brother, Jaelind Conrad, was also shot and injured in the incident, according to police.
The shooting occurred at approximately 8:30 p.m. at Kabuki Hibachi & Juicy Seafood & Bar, located along Goodman Road near Interstate Boulevard.
Horn Lake police responded to reports of gunfire and found Justin Conrad unresponsive inside the restaurant, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to Baptist DeSoto Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
## Twin Brother Wounded in the Shooting
As officers continued investigating the scene, police were notified that Justin’s twin brother, 24-year-old Jaelind Conrad, had arrived at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
Jaelind was subsequently transferred to Regional One Health Trauma Center for further treatment. According to the latest reports, he was listed in stable condition.
The shooting has left the Conrad family facing the devastating loss of one twin while the other recovers from his injuries. Authorities have not publicly disclosed what led to the confrontation or whether the individuals involved knew one another before the incident.
## Police Identify Suspect and Issue Murder Warrant
Investigators identified 25-year-old Marterius McShane as the man they believe shot both Conrad brothers.
According to police, witness interviews and a review of surveillance video helped investigators develop their account of the shooting. Authorities allege that McShane shot Justin and Jaelind before fleeing the scene.
Police also reported that McShane sustained a gunshot wound to the leg while attempting to leave the area. Investigators believe an unidentified person in the parking lot fired in his direction. That individual had not been identified in the latest reports.
A murder warrant was issued for McShane in connection with Justin Conrad’s death. Reports indicate that McShane was being detained at Regional One Health while awaiting medical clearance before being taken into custody on the warrant.
The circumstances surrounding the additional gunfire remain under investigation. Authorities have not publicly identified the person who allegedly shot McShane or announced whether that individual will face charges.
## Investigation Remains Active
Police continue working to establish the full sequence of events that led to the deadly encounter at the restaurant.
Investigators are seeking information that could help clarify what happened before the shooting, the circumstances surrounding the injuries to all three men, and the role of the unidentified person who reportedly fired a weapon in the parking lot.
Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact the Horn Lake Police Department at **662-393-6174**.
McShane’s murder warrant represents an allegation, not a determination of guilt. The case will proceed through the legal system, and he is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
