With deep sadness, family, friends, and members of the Statesboro, Georgia, community are mourning the loss of Ja’Nyah Everett, 23, whose life came to a tragic end following a single-vehicle crash Sunday evening, August 9, 2026, in Bulloch County.
According to reports, Ja’Nyah was driving a Honda Accord near the intersection of Old River Road South and Old Flat Ford Road when the vehicle entered a curve at a speed too high to safely remain on the roadway. The vehicle then left the road and overturned.
Emergency responders were called to the scene shortly after 7:12 p.m. Upon arrival, Bulloch County Coroner Chuck Francis pronounced Ja’Nyah deceased at the scene.
Two children who were inside the vehicle at the time of the crash were injured and transported to Memorial Medical Center in Savannah. Their injuries were reported to be non-life-threatening.
News of Ja’Nyah’s passing has brought overwhelming grief to her family, friends, and loved ones. The sudden loss of a young woman with so much life ahead of her has left those who knew her struggling to come to terms with the tragedy.
