Vancouver Shooting: Restaurant Employee Injured After Gunfire on East Fourth Plain Boulevard
VANCOUVER, Wash. — Police are investigating a shooting that injured a restaurant employee Friday afternoon in the 5000 block of E. Fourth Plain Blvd., with detectives working to identify the suspect and determine the circumstances that led to the gunfire.
The incident occurred on September 4, 2026, at approximately 4:30 p.m., when Vancouver Police Department officers responded to the area following a report of a shooting.
According to police, an employee working at a restaurant in the area was approached by a male near the back of the business. The employee was subsequently shot.
The suspect fled the location on foot before officers arrived. Police immediately began investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting and are working to develop an accurate description of the person responsible.
Victim Hospitalized With Non-Life-Threatening Injuries
The restaurant employee sustained a gunshot injury and was transported to an area hospital for medical treatment.
