Ke’maurion Porter Obituary-Car Accident: Ke’maurion Porter, 18, Dies After I-65 Pedestrian Crash in Conecuh County
The Evergreen community is mourning the reported loss of Ke’maurion Porter, 18, who died Sunday night following a tragic incident along Interstate 65 in Conecuh County.
According to authorities, the incident occurred at approximately 9:29 p.m. on September 13, 2026, near the 100-mile marker of I-65.
Authorities said Porter had been involved in a crash with another vehicle. Following the initial collision, he attempted to cross the interstate roadway on foot.
While crossing the roadway, Porter was struck by an 18-wheeler.
Porter was transported to Evergreen Medical Center for treatment of the injuries he suffered in the incident. He was later pronounced deceased.
His sudden death has left family members, friends and loved ones grieving as the Evergreen community remembers a young life lost in a heartbreaking interstate incident.
The circumstances surrounding the initial crash and the subsequent pedestrian collision remain part of the authorities’ response to the incident.
