With heavy hearts, the Columbus community is mourning the tragic deaths of Monu Rijal, 33, and Bhim Mishra, 41, following a suspected murder-suicide on the city’s southeast side Monday afternoon.
According to the Columbus Police Department, officers were called to a residence on Bannon Court near Tussing Road after a child contacted 911 and reported that someone was dead inside the home.
When officers arrived, they discovered two people deceased at the residence.
Investigators said they believe Bhim Mishra killed Monu Rijal before taking his own life. Police have not released details about how either person died, and the circumstances surrounding the tragedy remain under investigation.
