Michael Williams Obituary-Shooting News: Tulsa Community Mourns 46-Year-Old Killed in Arby’s Parking Lot Shooting
TULSA, OKLAHOMA — With heavy hearts, the community is mourning the tragic loss of Michael Williams, 46, who died following a shooting outside an Arby’s restaurant near Admiral and Sheridan in Tulsa.
The heartbreaking incident happened at approximately 4:35 p.m., when Tulsa Police officers responded to reports of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found two people suffering from gunshot wounds.
Both victims were transported to a hospital for medical treatment. Despite efforts by medical personnel to save his life, Michael Williams later succumbed to his injuries.
According to the Tulsa Police Department, Williams was sitting inside his vehicle when 20-year-old Dezmin Day allegedly arrived at the Arby’s parking lot and blocked the vehicle in. Investigators said the confrontation was connected to a reported road-rage incident involving Day and one of the victims.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting as they work to determine the events that led to the deadly encounter.
