According to the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred on May 29, 2026, when Schmucker was traveling northbound near Short Ridge Drive. Authorities said a Buick Regal traveling southbound crossed lanes for reasons still under investigation and struck Schmucker’s motorcycle head-on. Despite emergency response efforts, Randy Schmucker was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the Buick was not injured.
