The Tallassee community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of 23-year-old Ronderius Hooks, who tragically lost his life following a shooting on Saturday night, leaving family, friends, and loved ones devastated by his sudden passing.
According to the Tallassee Police Department, officers were dispatched at approximately 11:19 p.m. to the 200 block of Gilmer Avenue after receiving reports of a “Subject Shot/Death Investigation.” Upon arrival, law enforcement confirmed that Hooks had been shot at the scene.
Authorities said Hooks was quickly transported to Tallassee Community Hospital in critical condition. Despite life-saving efforts by medical staff, he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
