A fatal shooting at Hart Park in Orange on the evening of August 4, 2026, has prompted a police investigation after officers found a victim who was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the Orange Police Department, officers responded to the park at approximately 6:40 p.m. following reports of a shooting. When officers arrived, they located a victim who had suffered fatal injuries.
A suspect was subsequently taken into custody after responding officers reportedly saw the individual running from the area while carrying a handgun. Police arrested the suspect, preventing the person from leaving the immediate area.
