Police say the situation quickly escalated as officers searched for Artusi, later locating him near railroad tracks and then again near Pine Lake Street and Harris Street. During the encounter, an exchange of gunfire occurred, leaving Artusi unresponsive. Despite life-saving efforts by first responders, he was later pronounced dead.
