According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 7:10 p.m. on State Highway 155 at 16 Road in Vilas County. Preliminary findings indicate that a Toyota SUV was traveling southbound when a northbound Harley Davidson motorcycle crossed the centerline, resulting in a head-on collision. Despite emergency response efforts, Powell was pronounced dead at the scene due to the severity of his injuries.
