Daniel Dale Flores Shooting News: Suspect Arrested in Connection With Homicide at a Church Parking Lot in Clovis.

The Clovis Police Department has announced an arrest in connection with the fatal shooting of Daniel Dale Flores, 43, of Clovis, which occurred on May 29, 2026, at approximately 4:20 p.m. in the parking lot of the Church of Christ located at 1521 Pile Street.

Following an extensive investigation led by the Clovis Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit and detectives, authorities identified Andrew Robles, 41, of Clovis, New Mexico, as the suspect responsible for Flores’ death. Robles was taken into custody and booked into the Curry County Detention Center.

He has been charged with first-degree murder, felon in possession of a firearm, and tampering with evidence.

Investigators confirmed that the firearm believed to have been used in the shooting was recovered as part of the case. Police stated that surveillance footage, witness statements, forensic evidence, and information provided by members of the public were instrumental in helping identify and locate the suspect.

Authorities also clarified that an individual previously shown in released photographs wearing a red shirt was initially considered during the investigation. However, after further review of surveillance footage and additional interviews, detectives determined that the individual was not present at the time of the shooting and is no longer connected to the case.

The Clovis Police Department expressed appreciation to the community for its cooperation, noting that public assistance played a significant role in helping investigators bring the case to a resolution.

The investigation remains ongoing as officials continue to review all evidence surrounding the incident.
