The community of Timber Bay is mourning the tragic and sudden loss of 24-year-old Steven Beatty, who was found deceased following a suspicious incident at a residence on Montreal Lake First Nation in the early hours of June 1, 2026.
According to the Saskatchewan RCMP, officers from the Montreal Lake and Waskesiu detachments responded to a report of an injured male at approximately 1:10 a.m. When police arrived, they located Beatty at the scene and immediately began providing first aid. Emergency medical services also responded, but despite all efforts, he was pronounced dead at the residence.
