Members of Dunedin Firefighters Local 2327 are coming together to support one of their own following the heartbreaking loss of his young daughter.
The organization has launched a community fundraiser for firefighter Tyler Zorich and his wife, Courtney, after the death of their 2-year-old daughter, Sailor. Colleagues described the tragedy as an unimaginable loss and are encouraging residents to rally around the family during this difficult time.
Donations are being collected through an online campaign known as the “Zorich Family Fundraiser,” which allows supporters to contribute any amount to help ease financial burdens as the family navigates the aftermath of the tragedy.
In a message shared on social media, members of the firefighters’ union expressed their sorrow and emphasized the importance of community support. They said their “fire family” had been deeply affected by Sailor’s passing and urged friends, neighbors, and supporters to surround the Zorich family with prayers, strength, and compassion.
“While no amount of support can take away the pain of this loss, every donation serves as a reminder that they are not alone,” the statement said.
The fundraiser is being organized through the charitable arm of Dunedin Fire Rescue firefighters and has already drawn messages of encouragement from community members and fellow first responders.
As news of Sailor’s death spreads, many residents have expressed condolences and shared words of comfort for the grieving family. Firefighters say the overwhelming support reflects the strong bond between first responders and the communities they serve.
The Zorich family remains in the thoughts of colleagues, friends, and residents as they mourn the loss of their beloved daughter and begin the difficult journey toward healing.
