The Metropolitan Police Department has identified Daremiah Banks, an 18-year-old woman from Northwest Washington, D.C., as the victim of a fatal shooting in Southeast D.C. early Sunday morning.
Police said officers responded to the 1100 block of K Street SE shortly before 5:30 a.m. Sunday after receiving reports of gunfire. Banks was found suffering from gunshot injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators are searching for three people believed to have left the area in a silver sedan following the shooting. Police have not publicly identified any suspects, and no arrests had been announced in the latest reports.

A newly reported video appears to show several people leaving a vehicle before gunfire was directed toward Banks and other people nearby. Police said another person was grazed during the incident but was not reported to have suffered a serious injury.
