The Mountain Brook community is mourning the tragic loss of Stuart Elliott Roberts, 65, who died Monday morning after being struck while riding his bicycle along Crestwood Boulevard in Birmingham, Alabama.
According to authorities, the fatal collision occurred shortly before 6 a.m. Monday. Roberts was riding his bicycle on Crestwood Boulevard when he was struck in the roadway.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified Roberts as a 65-year-old resident of Mountain Brook. He suffered critical injuries in the collision, and emergency personnel responded to the scene in an effort to provide assistance. Despite those efforts, Roberts died only minutes after the crash.
