The Beaverton community is mourning the reported loss of Austin McCulloch, 28, who died Monday afternoon, August 17, 2026, following a fatal ATV crash in Beaverton Township.
According to the Gladwin County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to McCulloch Road, south of Calhoun Road, at approximately 4:25 p.m. after receiving a report of a personal-injury ATV crash. Authorities identified McCulloch as the operator of the ATV involved in the incident.
Preliminary information from the scene indicated that McCulloch was traveling northbound on McCulloch Road when he reportedly lost control of a 2023 Can-Am Outlander 4×4 quad-runner. Emergency responders arrived and worked to provide assistance, but McCulloch tragically did not survive his injuries.
His sudden passing has left family, friends, and members of the Beaverton community grieving the loss of a young life taken far too soon.
