The Estate St. John community is mourning after Carmen Ferdinand, 56, and her husband, Dennis Ferdinand, 57, were found dead inside their residence Saturday night, leaving family, friends, and loved ones facing a devastating loss.
According to authorities, the 911 Emergency Call Center received a report at approximately 8:24 p.m. from a woman who said she arrived at the home and discovered an unresponsive woman inside. The woman then left the residence and contacted emergency services.
Officers responded to the scene and found Carmen Ferdinand unresponsive inside the home. Police later stated that she had suffered severe stab wounds to her upper body.
During the investigation, detectives from the VIPD Criminal Investigation Bureau continued processing the residence. Authorities said Dennis Ferdinand was later found unresponsive inside a bathroom with an apparent gunshot wound.
The circumstances surrounding the deaths remain under investigation as detectives work to determine what led to the tragic incident.
