According to state troopers, the crash happened shortly after 9 p.m. at FM 485 and Zane Wallace Road, just west of the Hearne city limits and near the municipal airport.
Authorities said the semi-truck was traveling westbound on FM 485 when it veered onto the grass shoulder. The vehicle then rolled over before striking a large tree.
The driver, Christopher Burton, 37, of Hempstead, was killed in the crash. Two passengers also lost their lives: Gina Jones, 40, of College Station, and 12-year-old Chloe Burton.
