Halee Williams Obituary – Car Accident: Halee Williams, 20, Dies After Head-On Crash in Terry County
With heavy hearts, family, friends and loved ones are mourning the tragic loss of 20-year-old Halee Williams of Brownfield, whose life was cut short following a devastating head-on crash early Saturday morning in Terry County.
According to preliminary information, the crash occurred at approximately 3:30 a.m. on September 12, 2026, along U.S. Highway 62, about 0.42 miles southwest of County Road 670.
Williams was reportedly driving a 2019 Chevrolet Trax northeast in the southwestbound lanes of U.S. 62 when her vehicle collided head-on with a 2017 Ford F-150 pickup driven by 38-year-old Rodrigo Lopez of Denver City.
The impact caused the Chevrolet Trax to catch fire. Williams sustained fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Her seat belt usage was listed as unknown.
The tragic loss has left those who knew Williams grieving the death of a young woman whose life was taken far too soon. Family, friends and members of the Brownfield community are now left with memories of Halee as they cope with the heartbreaking aftermath of the crash.
