Detwan Hannah Motorcycle Accident: In Loving Memory of Detwan Hannah, 35, Dies After Motorcycle Crash in Brooklyn
With heavy hearts, we remember Detwan Hannah, a 35-year-old Brooklyn man whose life was tragically lost following a serious motorcycle crash and subsequent collision with a vehicle in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood.
The incident occurred shortly after 9 p.m. Tuesday near Malcolm X Boulevard and Macon Street, where Hannah was traveling northbound on Malcolm X Boulevard on a 2017 Kawasaki dirt bike, according to the Collision Investigation Squad.
Investigators said Hannah encountered a dip in the roadway, causing him to lose control and become ejected from the motorcycle. He was thrown onto the street, where he remained in the roadway following the initial crash.
Moments later, Hannah was struck by a 2016 Mercedes-Benz traveling in the same direction. The vehicle was reportedly operated by 28-year-old Keon Davis of Georgia.
Hannah sustained serious injuries in the crash and was rushed to Kings County Hospital Center in critical condition. Despite efforts to save his life, he later died at the hospital.
