Baltimore Police Seek Public’s Help Identifying Person in Sophie Lee Murder
BALTIMORE, Maryland — Homicide detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a person depicted in a police sketch in connection with the fatal shooting of 27-year-old Sophie Lee, who was killed in Baltimore on September 11, 2026.
According to information released by investigators, Lee was shot in the 2400 block of North Calvert Street. Police are now seeking information that could help identify the individual shown in the sketch and advance the homicide investigation.
Lee was found with multiple gunshot wounds in the area of North Calvert Street near East 24th Street during the early morning hours of September 11. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Public reports indicate investigators believe she had been shot in a nearby alley before she was discovered in the street.


Detectives Release Sketch
Investigators have released a sketch of a person they want the public to help identify. Authorities have not publicly announced an arrest in connection with Lee’s killing, and the investigation remains active.

Her death prompted mourning among friends, community members and organizations that knew her. Baltimore Safe Haven CEO Iya Damons publicly remembered Lee as someone whose life extended far beyond the circumstances of her death.
A funeral service for Lee was held October 3, 2026, according to her published obituary.

The release of the sketch represents another effort by detectives to generate leads in a case that remains unresolved.
