Man Dies After Being Found with Multiple Gunshot Wounds in Chesapeake Roadway
Chesapeake, Va. — A man has died after being found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in the roadway following a shooting in Chesapeake early this morning, according to the Chesapeake Police Department.
Officers responded around 2 a.m. on October 8 to the 4000 block of Wake Avenue for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers located a man in the roadway suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Police say officers immediately began lifesaving measures before the victim was transported to an area hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation, and police have not identified any suspects.
