Stephnie Lyons and Charles Yoders Car Accident: Stephnie Lyons, 56, and Charles Yoders, 71, Killed in Head-On Crash Near Osage
With heavy hearts, family, friends, and community members are mourning the tragic deaths of Stephnie Lyons, 56, of Rochester, and Charles Yoders, 71, of Stacyville, following a devastating head-on collision Friday afternoon near Osage.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, the crash occurred shortly after 4 p.m. near the intersection of Kirkwood Avenue and 440th Street.
Authorities said Lyons was traveling southbound on Kirkwood Avenue while Yoders was traveling northbound when their vehicles collided head-on. The circumstances that led to the collision remain unknown, and the crash remains under investigation.
Both Lyons and Yoders died as a result of the devastating collision.
The Iowa State Patrol reported that Lyons was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash. Yoders, however, was not wearing a seatbelt, according to authorities.
