Authorities are investigating a deadly shooting that left one person dead early Monday morning, and are now confirming the identity of the victim as a suspect remains at large and considered armed and dangerous.
Police say officers responded at approximately 7:31 a.m. to reports of a shooting in the first block of North Main Street in Manheim Borough. When officers arrived, they found a victim suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite emergency efforts, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials have identified the victim as Keshia M. Gonzalez, 37. Her identity was confirmed in an update released later Monday afternoon.
Investigators believe the shooting stemmed from a domestic-related incident. Authorities say the suspect fled the scene immediately after the shooting in a vehicle and has not yet been located.
Law enforcement has identified Michael Anthony Boccia, 36, as a person of interest in connection with the homicide. Boccia is believed to reside in York City and is thought to be driving a red or maroon four-door sedan with tinted windows.
Police say Boccia may be armed and dangerous, and are urging the public not to approach him under any circumstances. Anyone who sees Boccia or has information about his whereabouts is urged to call 911 immediately.
Authorities are also asking anyone with additional information related to the case to contact the Manheim Police Department at 717-665-2481.
The shooting prompted an immediate law enforcement response in the area as investigators worked to secure the scene, gather evidence, and begin interviewing potential witnesses.
