Alexander Cura Obituary, Cause of Death: Alexander Cura, 21, Remembered for Creativity, Faith and Generosity
The Sharon, Massachusetts, community is mourning the unexpected passing of Alexander Cura, a beloved son, brother, friend, and Sharon High School graduate whose life was marked by creativity, intelligence, generosity, faith, and an extraordinary sense of curiosity.
Alexander passed away unexpectedly on September 9, 2026, at the age of 21, leaving behind family, friends, and a community grieving the loss of a young man whose presence brought joy and inspiration to those around him.
Born on May 10, 2005, in Boston, Alexander was the beloved son of Miguel Cura and Ana Mateos. Raised in Sharon, he shared a particularly special bond with his sister, Gabriela.
From the moment Gabriela entered his life, Alex embraced his role as a loving older brother. He helped her learn to walk and became not only her protector but also her best friend and confidant. Their relationship was a treasured connection that remained deeply meaningful throughout both of their lives.
Alexander graduated from Sharon High School, where his intelligence, dedication, creativity, and curiosity continued to shine. Those who knew him recognized his ability to think deeply, explore new ideas, and approach the world with imagination and wonder.
His creativity was evident from an early age. As a young child, Alex showed a natural talent for design and building. By the age of four, he was creating detailed drawings of houses and cars. By eight, he was designing elaborate LEGO cities complete with roads, fire stations, churches, and carefully planned landscapes—showing the imagination and attention to detail that would become part of who he was.
Beyond his talents and accomplishments, Alexander was remembered most for the person he was. His kindness, generosity, faith, and genuine interest in the world around him left a lasting impact on the people fortunate enough to know him.
His unexpected passing has created a deep sense of loss for his family, friends, classmates, and everyone whose life was touched by his presence. While his time on earth was far too short, the memories he created and the love he shared will continue to live on.
As the Sharon community comes together to remember Alexander, his loved ones are holding onto the moments, stories, and qualities that made him truly special.
Thoughts and condolences are with Miguel, Ana, Gabriela, and all of Alexander Cura’s family and friends during this heartbreaking time.
May Alexander Cura rest in peace, and may his memory continue to inspire those who knew and loved him.
