Emergency crews responded to a serious single-vehicle crash on Albany Highway near Beaufort River, about 230 kilometres south of Perth, after a person became trapped inside a vehicle.
According to the Department of Fire and Emergency Services, crews from Kojonup attended the scene and worked to free a person trapped inside a dual-cab ute following the crash.
The RAC Rescue helicopter was dispatched to assist, while paramedics provided medical care at the scene.
A man involved in the collision was later airlifted to Royal Perth Hospital for further treatment.
Authorities have not released additional details regarding the circumstances of the crash, the extent of the man’s injuries, or what may have caused the vehicle to leave the roadway.
Emergency responders continue to remind motorists to exercise caution on roads, as crashes can occur suddenly and leave lasting impacts on those involved and their families.
