LEBANON, Indiana — A workplace incident at a major construction site in Boone County has claimed the life of 33-year-old Christopher Lawe, a heavy-machine operator from Oklahoma. As reported by Central Indiana news outlets, including WTHR 13 News, the fatal crash occurred on Monday, September 14, 2026, at the Meta data center development site near County Road 400 West and State Road 32 in Lebanon.
Workplace Incident Details and Emergency Response
According to the Lebanon Police Department, emergency personnel were dispatched to the construction location within the LEAP Innovation District at approximately 5:43 p.m. following reports of a worker being struck by a pickup truck on-site. On-site medical personnel initially initiated resuscitation efforts before Lebanon medics and firefighters arrived to take over emergency care.
Despite lifesaving attempts by first responders, Mr. Lawe sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
