Elizabeth Jessup Obituary-Car Accident: Hopkinsville Woman Dies After Pedestrian Crash on Russellville Road
HOPKINSVILLE, KENTUCKY — With heavy hearts, a family and community are mourning the tragic loss of Elizabeth Jessup, 50, of Hopkinsville, who died after being struck by a vehicle late Tuesday night on Russellville Road.
According to Hopkinsville Fire and EMS Marshal Nathan Stewart, emergency crews were called to the area near the Circle K gas station on Russellville Road at approximately 8:30 p.m. following reports of a vehicle-versus-pedestrian crash.
When first responders arrived, they found Jessup unresponsive in the roadway. Emergency personnel immediately began performing CPR in an effort to save her life before transporting her to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for further treatment.
Despite medical efforts, Jessup later succumbed to her injuries. Her passing has left family members, friends, and members of the Hopkinsville community grieving the loss of a loved one.
The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation as authorities continue reviewing the incident.
