Hopkinsville Resident Elizabeth Jessup Fatally Struck in Russellville Road Pedestrian Crash
HOPKINSVILLE, Kentucky — A Tuesday night pedestrian collision in Christian County has claimed the life of 50-year-old Elizabeth Jessup. As reported by Western Kentucky news outlets, including WHOP 98.7 FM, the fatal incident occurred in the 2000 block of Russellville Road in Hopkinsville.
Emergency Response and Medical Transport
According to the Hopkinsville Police Department, emergency dispatchers received reports at approximately 8:34 p.m. indicating that a pedestrian had been struck by a motor vehicle. First responders arriving at the scene located Ms. Jessup unresponsive in the roadway.
Emergency medical personnel immediately initiated cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) at the scene before transferring her via ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center. Despite emergency medical intervention, Ms. Jessup later succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.
