According to the Virginia State Police, Sean Arnott was driving a Dodge Ram 2500 westbound when, for reasons that remain under investigation, his vehicle crossed the center line and struck an eastbound U.S. Postal Service box truck driven by David Derring, 79, of Waynesboro, in an offset head-on collision.
The impact caused severe damage to both vehicles, and emergency responders were dispatched to the scene. Despite their efforts, Sean Arnott was tragically pronounced deceased as a result of the injuries he sustained. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
