Timothy Edwards Obituary-Car Accident: Timothy Edwards Remembered After Fatal Head-On Collision in London
With profound sadness, family, friends, and loved ones are mourning the loss of 69-year-old Timothy Edwards of East Bernstadt, Kentucky, who died following a devastating head-on collision in London on Thursday afternoon, September 24, 2026.
The crash occurred at approximately 1:42 p.m. on East Fourth Street. According to investigators, Timothy was traveling eastbound in a Chrysler when a Ford F-250 pulling a trailer crossed the centerline and entered the eastbound lane.
Investigators said the Ford was attempting to avoid a rear-end collision involving a westbound Dodge pickup when it crossed into oncoming traffic and struck Timothy’s vehicle head-on.
Timothy sustained critical injuries in the collision and was airlifted to UK Medical Center in Lexington for emergency medical treatment. Despite efforts to save his life, he was pronounced deceased a short time later by the Fayette County Coroner’s Office.
His passenger, 67-year-old Susan Edwards, also of East Bernstadt, suffered critical injuries in the crash and was transported by air to UK Medical Center for treatment.
